Biography
Calvin Leung is an award-winning, male pianist who has won classical piano competitions and received a music scholarship all before the age of 18 whilst growing up in regional Victoria, Australia.
At the age of 18, Calvin moved to Melbourne to further pursue his music studies at Monash Unviersity and has since established himself to be Melbourne’s #1 top-rated pianist for weddings and events.
The first major breakthrough
Calvin’s first major breakthrough came in 2011 when he secured a residency at the RACV City Club on Bourke Street in Melbourne’s CBD. Calvin continues to perform there as the resident pianist.
He has also since secured a number of other residencies, including most recently at The Melbourne Athenaeum and performed solo piano at major high-profile events, such as Melbourne Cup Week 2024 at Flemington Racecourse and at The Forum.
Calvin’s standing ovation on ABC’s reality TV series “The Piano”
In 2025, Calvin was handed the opportunity of a lifetime and received a standing ovation for his heartfelt rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” on series 1 of the ABC’s hit reality hit TV show The Piano, hosted by Amanda Keller.
Watched by over 1.2 million viewers, Calvin was 1 of 16 pianists chosen to perform at Southern Cross station, Melbourne (Australia) whilst secretly being judged by multi-Grammy award winning artist, Harry Connick Jr, and Australia’s top classical pianist, Andrea Lam.

Calvin signs two major music deals

The Adventure Etude

After a trip to Queenstown, New Zealand, in 2022, Calvin was inspired to finally release his debut solo piano track “The Adventure Etude” to coincide with World Piano Day.

Inspired by a past love “My True Love”, this beautiful piano composition, released on Valentine’s Day, represents the feeling of true unconditional love.
One More Time
3rd Release | 28 March 2025
Released on the eve of World Piano Day, this single features vocals, piano and guitar and was written in loving memory of someone very close who passed away in 2023 at age 37.
